18 Years Restoring
Car Audio Done Right.
CarStereoExperts started in 2006 in a two-car garage in Columbus, Ohio. What began as a side project fixing dealership trade-ins became a full-time business when word spread that our refurbished units outperformed the cheap aftermarket alternatives.
Today we've restored over 4,200 units for customers across all 50 states. Every stereo that leaves our shop has been tested in a real vehicle — not just on a bench.
The 6-Stage
Restoration Process.
Acquisition
We source units from dealerships, fleet liquidations, and manufacturer overstock — never salvage yards.
Inspection
Every unit undergoes our 72-point checklist: display, buttons, connectors, firmware, and audio output.
Reconditioning
Faulty components replaced with OEM parts. Firmware updated to latest version. Cosmetically cleaned.
Testing
48-hour burn-in test in a real vehicle. Bluetooth, USB, display, and all inputs verified functional.
Grading
Units graded A (like new), B+ (light wear), or B (functional, visible wear). Grade B units priced accordingly.
Shipping
Packed in custom foam-lined boxes with anti-static wrap. Shipped with full tracking via FedEx or UPS.

What We
Stand For.
Honest Grading
We never oversell condition. If a unit has cosmetic wear, we say so — and price it accordingly.
Transparent Specs
Every listing shows exactly what the unit does and doesn't do. No hidden limitations.
Customer First
If a unit doesn't work perfectly in your vehicle, we make it right. That's been our policy since 2006.
